The fields of application of the natural stone have developed strongly in addition to road, rail and hydraulic engineering. Nowadays, natural stone is used, among other things, for the production of insulating materials, paints and varnishes, natural fertilizers and pharmaceutical products.
The energy required to extract natural stone is relatively low compared to other materials and is therefore very sustainable.
